LKISEvents: Guest Speaking at the Art of Fashion Design Boutique

I was asked to be a workshop presenter at the annual Art of Fashion Design Boutique at the Schwarzkopf Academy in downtown Toronto, and in the name of fashion I was there with bells on.

How did I come to this decision?
Well, the fact that I am a board member of the Art of Fashion and that I live for anything fashion-related, helped me decide that it would be a great opportunity to share my thoughts on style, which I have definitely done before.

I got to the venue a little early so that I could shop around the cool Canadian designer booths.

I began to wander around and say hi to the individual designers.

I was happy to see Albert Yuen again- I presented his fashion show at the America's Next Top Model Live event last month!

The fashion folk were totally friendly.

And, as I perused, it was the accessories that really captured my heart.
Check out these amazing neckpieces that definitely impressed.

This T-shirt was cheeky and cute (would make my hair look even longer than usual!).

Then it was time to get my nails done by the awesome ladies at the Bio Seaweed Gel station.  I am writing a post on this amazing product on Virgin Radio's blog this week.
Be sure to check it out tomorrow here:

Then it was time for my presentation!

I took the stylish audience through my ideas about personal style, how to cultivate it and how to execute on it especially as it relates to some of my favourite trends for this season: Coloured denim, neon, head-to-toe white, wide-legged pants and a few others....

Overall, the experience was super and truth is with event-guru Michelle Planche at the helm and an opportunity to work with the rest of the amazing Art of Fashion team, I would do anything for those guys!!

LKISStyle: Grand Prix Outfit Post

Grand Prix was already weeks ago (can you believe it is almost July?! I can't!!!), and I have to say that I have been meaning to post the outfit I wore on the Saturday night of Grand Prix weekend forever.

I spent half the night at an awesome engagement party (love B&L- they are just the best couple) and then headed to hang out with all kinds of cool people.

So, what is a girl to sport for this combo-evening?
Here it goes:

I had my makeup done by my personal fave (who also happens to be a genius) Amy Klein at Victoria Park.

I decided on nude shoes...

Added a crinoline under my full skirt... (I love this thing- I bought it from American Apparel two years ago and I swear it is the clothing-gift that keeps on giving!)...

Then I threw on a wide high waisted belt with a pretty bold gold buckle...

A few gold accessories, my dress from Incognito Boutique (thank you Sara!) and here is the final product:

It was a great night on the town and the perfect fun outfit for Grand Prix weekend in Montreal!

LKISStyle: My Wedding Get-Up

Last night I went to a beautiful wedding!  It was so great to watch two amazing people come together and to celebrate their union with old and new friends.

I wrote a post this week on Virgin all about wedding season (you can read the post here: http://montreal.virginradio.ca/blog/Style/blogentry.aspx?BlogEntryID=10396483) and so I was all geared up to get dressed for R&R's wedding.

Here is what I wore...

A Betsey Johnson cocktail dress with some fun rosette detailing:

My fave fancy floral footwear:

A black patten clutch:

The end result was totally nuptial ready:

A fun night celebrating an amazing couple...in style of course!
