You people know I am obsessed with Balmain. There is just something about the rock 'n' roll vibe and the extreme tailoring that really gets to me.
Well, the 2012 Spring/Summer show was no exception.
With the youthful Olivier Rousteing at the helm, it was an ode to Elvis (think the-impersonator-from-Vegas-kind) and all things glamorous that seep out of Sin City, with an added touch of Spanish allure.
This collection had immense attention to detail, elaborate prints and beaded texture.
There was a mix of black white and a few baby colors (light denim and florals) mixed with touches of gold, on virtually every piece.
The highlights for me are the fringe (keep it coming!!!), the striking leather maxi and the intricate cocktail dresses with super-mini hemlines.
